Determination and passion are what drive DJ Yuna’s burgeoning DJ career. Born and raised in Seoul, Yuna moved to Texas after high school to pursue a career as a music teacher. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas, Yuna worked several jobs as a music instructor, but later discovered her passion for DJ’ing.

Through building relationships, supporting her local Dallas-Fort Worth scene, and a mentorship with DJSC, Yuna took her love for pop, hip-hop, and electronic music and paired them with her musical intuition to establish the foundation of her growing DJ career. As more DJ’ing opportunities became available, Yuna decided to give it her all and try her best as a full-time DJ.

In the time since her decision, Yuna has been steadily cementing her place in the DJ circuit. She was recently featured on SiriusXM’s Pitbull’s Globalization and has played a variety of venues across North America including the Gaylord Texan, Earls Kitchen, Lava Cantina, the Whiskey Garden in Fort Worth, and a handful of CrossFit events. Looking toward the future, Yuna wants to play more shows and grow as a musician as she continues to give it her all. Yuna’s shows emphasize fun with catchy beats, eclectic song choices, and a rhythm that packs the dance floor!
